Little did many people know or understand where Loren (JM Owner) grew up or how she was raised. However, here is a lookbook into her life.
Loren and her family bought
this beautiful home around her age of 6 yrs old and resided here till she was about 22 yrs old.
This DEN area was where she sat with
her first iMAC computer and created
her website and IG page in May 2012.
She had a lot of space to visualize in this home.
She knew what she wanted to do and had the resources, funds, and ideas of how to run a business at the age of 21 just from using her intuition and computer.
In between work, going to the bathroom was a very important time and place for her. She always needed a break from the stress and pressure of life. However, at 21, in college, Just Materials
was a POWER BOOST
for her! A new found love in her life that she looked forward to everyday!
A lot of people don't know why Loren createdJust Materials, but here is the reason why.
From the den, to the bathroom, to the bar area,
and most of the time sitting in this part of the house brought her extra energy to understand what advertising route she wanted to take with JM.
Her reason for creating JM was due to a 3 yr relationship ending, her being sad, and going back home to spend time there and gather herself again. She understood that she wanted to NOW dedicate her time and energy into herself, therefore creating her own business, instead of being in a relationship that could end unlike her online business that in which she totally become in control of.

Many times, Loren sat here in this very room and had dinner with her family while growing up. Her dad, being a wine collector would stack bottles up and Loren would just admire it. She really loved home life and enjoyed a peaceful environment.
This home was a nice home in the 90815 area code of Long Beach, CA. When we first purchased it,
It was different. We remodeled it, added on, expanded, and really decorated it. Loren, went to preK, elementary, middle school, and college prep within the area. She brought her first boyfriend over to meet her parents at the age of 16.
During these years, Loren and her mother would shop together and that is also how Loren came up with her own idea to start an online store reselling her own products like her mother would in physical location stores.
Loren and her parents, in which had been married since she born, loved style, vintage and new. Can't you tell? From homes, to cars, to clothing and accessories.
So now you get a pretty picture of where Loren's maturity comes from when it comes to relationships and business. Her parents and her surroundings. She was studying at CSUDH 2009 and had a job, then she decided for herself that she wanted to become an entrepreneur and didn't ask anyone for a free handout. She funded her business on her own.
" You have to be certain that you want this life"
With having a decent home life, still short of a perfect lifestyle, failed relationships that didn't make it to marriage, some cheating and dumping, having to learn from trail and error Loren was still able to prevail through anything she went through. She had ideas and intuition, most importantly, she had a heart and passion for fashion.
That started early on for her when her mom would buy her school clothes and her parents always took pics and filmed video of her. Especially during her youth. All her photos and videos were kept too.
For Loren's website and IG page in 2012, she did a photoshoot here in the backyard near the pool with an old friend. They also shot some photos outside, near the river bank and Loren would clean the house often times. Close family was invited over and her sisters prom party was hosted here.
For those that aren't aware of what it takes to own a home in the 90815 area, just know it takes a lot to maintain and remodel as well as host your family here for yearssssssss. This home was the best place for me in my life looking back on it, I loved it!!! So many memories!!!
